A
native of Iowa, Chris graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, with
degrees in English and Art Education. After teaching high school for 21
years, Chris has focused her time on painting. Chris splits her year between
living in Clearwater, Florida, and Boulder, Colorado, where she loves to hike
and bike as well as paint. Her artwork frequently depicts Western themes,
beach and Midwestern scenes. Chris works from her own digital photos taken
while traveling and hiking. |
Chris is currently a member of the Dunedin
Fine Arts Center and the Artist's Way Gallery in Dunedin, Florida, as well as
the Gulf Coast Artists' Association in Pinellas County. Chris was juried into
the Boulder Open Studios in 2005 for five years and participated through 2009.
She was also a member of Studio 1212 in Clearwater for several years.
